Hamilton hires Howie as CFO. Ursano to depart & set-up advisory business

Hamilton, the Bermuda based insurance coverage and reinsurance holding business, has revealed the hiring of Craig Howie from Everest Re as its brand-new Group CFO, since incumbent Tony Ursano is set to depart to develop an insurance coverage and insurtech advisory business.Ursano just joined Hamilton Insurance Group in mid-2019 so his period with the company has actually not been especially long.
He will depart Hamilton in mid-July to set-up the brand-new advisory service focused on insurance and insurtech, while Craig Howie will handle the Group CFO role from July 1st, reporting to CEO Pina Albo.

Howie has operated at Everest Re Group for 9 years, where he was EVP, Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to his time at Everest Re, Howie spent over 23 years at Munich Re America in a number of senior financing positions roles and started his career in public accounting with EY.
